Screenpipe supports private meeting notes with local transcription and a local summary model. Grain offers a cloud meeting library with transcripts, AI notes, sharing, and CRM sync. Grain also supports desktop capture without a meeting bot.

Comparison

Which workflow fits?

Choose Screenpipe when transcription and summaries need to run on your computer, or when an agent needs the screen context around a call. Follow private meeting notes to check your model choices and where notes are saved or sent. Local models use your computer’s memory and processing power, and may produce different results from hosted models. Grain may be more convenient when the team wants shared video clips, meeting templates, and CRM updates. Botless capture is available in both products, so evaluate processing and storage separately from whether a bot joins the call.
