# Prepare for a meeting from previous conversations

> Build a short brief from the latest relevant conversations, then verify current calendar and communication state.

Build a short brief from the latest relevant conversations, then verify current calendar and communication state. Recorded history can remind you what was discussed, but it cannot prove that a later email was sent or a meeting remains scheduled.

## Start here

Name the person or organization, meeting time, and goal. Connect the relevant systems if available, or provide reviewed excerpts. Start with the latest exchange before broadening to older calls.

## Copy this prompt

Use this in Screenpipe chat or an assistant with the required connections. Replace the brackets with your details. If the assistant lacks access, provide a reviewed excerpt; a prompt alone does not connect it to your history.

```text theme={null}
Prepare a one-page brief for [meeting/person] at [time, timezone].
Check the latest relevant email, chat thread replies, CRM notes, support
issues, and past meeting records available to you. State coverage gaps.
Include who last replied, what was promised, unresolved issues, the desired
outcome, three useful questions, and source references with dates.
Verify sent status and current calendar state where tools permit.
Do not send messages, invite anyone, or assume silence means resolution.
```

## Check the result

Open the latest message and calendar event. Remove stale questions already answered in a newer reply. Keep the brief short enough to use during the call.

    Latest exchange: [date, sender, source]
    Open promise: Share a reviewed example before expanding the pilot.
    Unresolved issue: Output destination not yet verified.
    Questions: What does success look like? Who reviews it? When is it due?
    Coverage gap: Customer chat replies were not accessible.

    Separate remembered relationship context from current facts. Organization size, roles, prices, and contract status can change; verify them in an authoritative current source before repeating them.

    If the brief reveals a promise, attach its original wording and date. A draft is not a sent message, and a proposed time is not a confirmed booking. This distinction prevents an otherwise polished brief from sending the conversation backward.
